Functions and Responsibilities of Educational Administration Department

Under the leadership of the Party committee and administrative team of the hospital, it is responsible for the teaching management of the hospital. It includes the construction and enrollment of graduate base and recruitment of students, the selection and training of graduate student supervisors, the construction and operation of residents standardized training base, the reception of visiting students and interns, the application and implementation of continuing medical education, the teaching of clinical skills training center, the management of student dormitory, and the management of electronic reading room, etc.

Article 1: thoroughly implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State for medical education, and implement the relevant teaching rules and regulations of Chongqing Municipality, the Hospitals and Chongqing University.

Article 2: according to the needs of hospital development and teaching hospital construction, conscientiously carry out teaching planning and undertake the work related to the medical education committee of the hospital and the standardized training leading group of resident doctors.

Article 3: cooperate with Chongqing University in the construction of graduate student base, expand medical degree granting program, carry out the construction of graduate student superiors team, and improve the quality of graduate student training.

Article 4: carry out the capacity building of the standardized training base for resident doctors, assume responsibilities for the recruitment of trainees and course completion, carry out monthly assessment, annual assessment, completion of report and treatment management of resident doctors. Improve the construction, training, incentive and assessment of the faculty of the base. Enhance the training, incentive and evaluation of the management of the base, implement the monthly teaching assessment of the departments, and carry out non-scheduled special activities.  Supervise, cross examine, and integrate quality residential training with the assessment of departments.

Article 5: receive, rotate, distribute and manage visiting students and interns, collect feedback regularly, and continuously improve the management process.

Article 6: carry out application and implementation management of continuing medical education projects, implement credit granting of continuing education in the hospital, and cooperate with each department to organize and facilitate high-level academic conferences.

Article 7: carry out the examination, approval and management of the academic education of the staff and other personnel of the hospital. Examine and approve study trips of the staff and personnel of the hospital.

Article 8: carry out the construction of the clinical skill training center, complete the functional division of the center, improve the facilities and equipment, carry out the training of teaching staff of the center, formulate and implement the skill training, assessment and plans of internal competitions, and improve the clinical skills level of all trainees.

Article 9: facilitate the opening and management of the electronic reading room, maintain communication with the library of Chongqing University, strengthen the construction and maintenance of the medical literature database, and expand the library information resources of the hospital.

Article 10: take the lead in the management of student apartments, and reasonably arrange rooms for all kinds of students.

Article 11: promote the information construction of teaching management, and improve the use and analysis of standardized training system for residents.

Article 12: timely complete tasks of non-scheduled teaching assigned by leaders and superior departments.
