Oncology Laboratory

The Oncology Laboratory of the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University is a key department that integrates tumor experimental diagnosis, scientific research, and teaching. It is now the "Chongqing Key Laboratory of Tumor Metastasis and Individualized Diagnosis and Treatment Research" and "Chongqing Cancer Individualized Drug Testing" "Collaborative Innovation Center", the graduate student training base and post-doctoral scientific research workstation of Chongqing University, Chongqing Medical University, and also the supporting base of "Academician Workstation". Focusing on "Accurate Diagnosis and Clinical Transformation of Tumor", the laboratory strengthened discipline construction, focused on tumor genomics, real-time liquid biopsy, tumor intelligent medicine, applied mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, biochip and gene sequencing and other new technologies to carry out basic and clinical transformation research of tumor, detection of circulating tumor cells, detection of immune cells and cellular causes. It provides technical platform and intellectual support for cancer screening and early warning, early diagnosis, treatment evaluation, recurrence and metastasis monitoring and prognosis judgment in Chongqing.

There are six professional laboratory platforms including Basic Laboratory, Cell Biology Laboratory, Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, Radiation Biology Laboratory, Flow Cytology Laboratory and Precision Instrument Laboratory. Being equipped with Japanese Olympus Live Cell Workstation, German CellCut CellEctor suspension single cell selection and laser cutting system, American Precision X-rad225 irradiator, BD flow cytometer, real-time quantitative PCR instrument, flow HPLC Chip instruments, Thermo Scientific TSQ Endura Triple Quadrupole LC / MS, fluorescence microscope, cell culture incubator, low temperature (-85 ℃) refrigerator and a series of advanced instruments and equipment. In recent years, the department has undertaken and completed more than 20 scientific research projects and applied for and authorized more than 10 invention patents.
