The Center for Gastroenterology, Diagnosis and Minimally Invasive Treatment of Early Gastrointestinal Cancer

The center for gastroenterology, diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of early gastrointestinal cancer is a clinical department Integrating Medicine, teaching and research, a cooperation center for early gastrointestinal cancer screening research of "new endoscopic technology", a municipal key clinical specialty, early cancer screening center, and supervision unit of Chongqing central financial transfer payment project on the early esophageal cancer / cardiac cancer screening. The Center’s idea is to focus on early cancer diagnosis and treatment, target difficult and severe diseases, and actively carry out research on early digestive cancer transformation, and explore the establishment of endoscopic staging technology system and clinical standards for digestive cancer.

The digestive endoscopy center covers an area of about 1800 ㎡ (including independent DSA room), with the most advanced diagnosis and treatment equipment at home and abroad: Olympus 290 series, SU9000 ultrasound endoscope, FUJIFILM blue aurora series gastrointestinal endoscope, HD magnification endoscope, capsule endoscope, ultrasound endoscope, C-arm (digital subtraction), ERBE D200 workstation, anesthesia machine, freezer and other equipment.

There are 48 medical staff, including 1 chief physician, 4 deputy chief physicians, 9 attending physicians, 2 resident physicians; 2 doctors, 11 masters, 1 master and doctoral student supervisor, and 7 chief nurses, 19 attending nurses and 6 nurses. The Center has served as the vice chairman and member of more than ten national and municipal professional committees, including cancer endoscopy special committee of China Anti-Cancer Association, geriatric endoscopy of Gastroenterology branch of Chinese Medical Association, clinical epidemiology of Gastroenterology branch of Chinese Medical Association, tumor endoscopy branch of Chongqing Anti-cancer association, Chongqing hospital association, etc. The Center is responsible for the Chongqing Municipal Technical Supervision of the National Health and Family Planning Commission's Rural Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening Project and the National Urban Cancer Early Diagnosis and Early Treatment Project Team Chongqing Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening.
