The most Beautiful Volunteer along Lancang Riverside Dean Wu Yongzhong pays a visit to the experts in aid of Tibet

In order to implement the deployment of "group " Tibetan aid for medical talents further strengthened by Chongqing Health Committee, and further promote the work of medical counterpart assistance, On September 10, the dean, teamed with four staff, including the director of the Medical Department and the director of the Medical Laboratory, paid a visit to the Tibetan aid experts of our hospital and carry out the research work of counterpart medical assistance.

On the afternoon of October 10, at the meeting on Tibetan aid work, Secretary Zhong Chun of Changdu people's Hospital and President Jiang Yingjiu warmly welcomed the arrival of the dean and the delegation, and paid high tribute to our hospital's long-term medical assistance and the selfless efforts of Tibetan aid team members. Secretary Zhong Chun introduced the history of Changdu people's hospital. Since 1952, after more than 60 years’ efforts, the hospital has undergone tremendous changes. At present, it is the most modern hospital, the national tertiary first class hospital in Tibet. However, it is still backward and confronted with major problems in the construction of talent team and discipline platform.

President Jiang Yingjiu proposed that the next key work of the hospital is to enhance the medical capacity, build and improve the diagnostic platform, gradually improve the level of treatment technology, and seek further development of the discipline. It is expected that the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University can greatly improve the level of cancer diagnosis and treatment in Changdu region and even the whole Tibetan region in the field of cancer prevention and treatment.

Wu Yong ZhongThe dean firstly paid a high tribute to all the medical staff of Changdu people's Hospital and all the members of the Tibetan medical team who are fighting in the snowcapped plateau. He said the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University would do its best to help the development of Changdu people's hospital. In addition to material assistance, the next step is to improve the ability and level of medical personnel. In view of the current situation of cancer prevention and treatment in Changdu , our hospital carried out the promotion training of appropriate technologies such as early diagnosis and palliative treatment of tumor, especially the prevention and treatment of multiple tumors such as breast cancer and gynecological tumor, combined with telemedicine means, to improve the diagnosis and treatment ability of local medical institutions for tumor patients, and strive to achieve the preliminary diagnosis and treatment of tumor patients in Tibet.

After the meeting, the dean gave a lecture entitled " Innovative Management on the basis of the Characteristics of Individual Hospitals", and the director of the Medical Department lectured on "Study of Medical Quality Management". The talks have brought advanced hospital management concepts and the hospital culture oriented around virtues. Later on, the dean and his party paid a visit to the members of fourth group of medical aid team. The dean expressed his sincere gratitude and his cordial greetings for their efforts to overcome various difficulties in the Tibetan region. The team members sang the song of Da'inka affectionately and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival together in advance.

On the morning of September 11, Zhang Darong, a member of the Tibetan aid team from the cancer hospital, accompanied the president and his delegation to visit the laboratory of Changdu People's Hospital. The advanced testing equipment and good working environment showed great development of the Hospital and impressed the visitors a lot.

On the afternoon of November 11, Liao Chuanjin, deputy secretary of Changdu Municipal Party committee, met with the dean of the Institute. Mr. Wu reported to Liao about the work of Tibet assistance of the Institute. Since 2014, the Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University has been supporting the medical and health construction of Changdu. The hospital has sent backbone experts from anesthesia, orthopedics and laboratory departments to offer help, donated instruments and equipment, carried out a large number of new technologies, and improved the diagnosis and treatment capacity of local anesthesia and orthopedics departments. Up to now, they still maintain close contact and continue professional exchanges.

In the future, the hospital will, as always, do its best to assist Tibet and provide best service for the people of Changdu. On behalf of the Changdu people, Secretary Liao sincerely thanked our hospital for sending high-quality and professional medical team members to Tibet for long-term aid, donating equipment and materials for many times, escorting the health of the Changdu people and contributing selflessly to the development of Changdu people's hospital!

At the end of a series of activities on the afternoon of November 11, the dean immediately organized the accompanying personnel and Tibetan aid team member Zhang Darong to hold a seminar on Tibetan aid project. At the meeting, the members of Tibet aid team were invited to give suggestions on the work and life of Tibet aid, and talk about his difficulties in work and life.

Zhang Darong talked about his feelings about Tibetan aid, expressing his thanks to the hospital for its concern and his determination to successfully complete the task. Dean Wu stressed that the hospital has attached great importance to and fully supported the work of Tibet assistance and cared for the team members. The medical department and the laboratory should be the strong backing of the team members, so that they can work in the Tibetan area at ease and make contributions to the health cause of Changdu. In the early morning of December 12, the team said goodbye to the volunteers.
