The 21st Beijing Hope Marathon (Chongqing trip) & the 4th Chongqing Hope Marathon held successfully

On the morning of November 2, 2019, sponsored by the National Cancer Center, Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, China Cancer Foundation, Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University, and co organized by Shapingba District Health and Health Committee and Shapingba District Sports Bureau, The 21st Beijing Hope Marathon (Chongqing trip) & the 4th Chongqing Hope Marathon started in the Youth Square of Shapingba District.

Fu Fenghuan, deputy director of the National Cancer Center, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Zhou Hongling, deputy district head of Shapingba District government, Wu Yongzhong, dean of the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Chongqing University, He li, the executive vice president of Chongqing Science, Education, Culture, Health and Sports, Qiu Rongfu, Secretary of the Party committee of the School of Physical Education of Chongqing University, Huang Huadong, director of Shapingba District Sports Bureau, Chen Huahe, deputy director of Shapingba District Health Committee,  Liu Jiaxin, a guest and national champion of freestyle skating, took part in the event.

The theme of this activity is "Healthy China, with the Help of You and Me", in the form of jogging and walking. There is no limit to the mileage of running, no ranking and no end point. Everyone is the champion. Nearly one thousand cancer patients and medical staff who are engaged in social public welfare activity and the warm-hearted people run for “cancer” again, praying for cancer patients and advocate cancer prevention and research. In addition to the running, there are also activity of Lucky Draw in the form of Q&A of scientific knowledge, and issued a series of gifts of cancer prevention and control brochures and "fat bear". Experts from, and other departments of Cancer Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University participated in the free clinic, and answered the relevant questions of cancer diagnosis and treatment for the public on site.

All the funds raised in this public welfare activity will be used to help Chinese cancer patients and support cancer research, promote the development of cancer treatment research and benefit the society.
